Instrument Tips
- When your child's horn needs repair, get it to the repair shop early! Sometimes telling them you are from Allen and it is urgent helps!
- Consider purchasing a marching instrument for your child. It doesn't have to be of particularly good quality, but it'll save you a great deal of worry and repair bills. (Try eBay, craigslist, or the band hall bulletin boards for good deals)
- Write down your child's instrument serial number- there's only so many brands of instruments, and they all look the same. Another good idea is to put a small sticker in an inconspicuous spot on the instrument to help with identification. It saves a lot of headaches and panic later on.
