Friday Night Lights
Fundraising Opportunity

Hello Allen Band Family,

I hope everyone is enjoying a wonderful summer. For those of you looking for something to do just something different there is a great opportunity to get your wish. We just received word that NBC will be filming the final episode of “Friday Night Lights” at the Cotton Bowl next Friday and Saturday, July 16-17 and they are in need of several thousand cast extras to fill the stadium. They have contacted local bands and teams to help with this and have decided to make it a fundraiser for our groups. This is your chance to be a part of the action, see how film production is done and help our band at the same time. The casting directors are donating $20 per person to our organization and $25 per person if we have over 51. I have been informed that another local group already has 150 going and there may be an “extra” something for the group that has the most attend. Come on Allen Band…do the math. Including students and family members we have around 2000 possible attendees. That’s a whopping $50,000 in potential earnings just for showing up and spending the day as a cast extra. Pretty cool! If you are interested read the enclosed information very carefully. You will need to print the four-page release document below, sign it (and have parents sign if under 18), take it with you when you go. That’s it. Who knows? You may actually be in a prime shot for the finale. The attached information is pretty self explanatory, however here are a few additional details that will help you.

1. You must RSVP to fundraising@allenband.com by Friday, July 9 so we can send a count.
2. All students, family over the age of 10 are invited.

8. Actual starting time will be announced through email and on website.
9. You must agree to stay the entire time.
10. Take a hat, sunscreen and a stadium seat with you.

Have fun and see all of you soon!
